Hasenjager.Eight

I am a homeschooling mom of six, living in the heart of South Africa. Fortunately for me, I am married to an amazing man; who loves and supports me, as I am - weird ideas and all. I am the creator of #365emptysquares. I have challenged myself to create one artwork a day for the next 365 days. I started this project as a way to help me break free from my limiting - belief, negative self - talk, as well as, my fear of failure and judgement.

The only rule is that you accept your days artwork as it is. You may not throw it out, start over, or rework it later. You must let go of perfectionism. You must embrace process, accept the outcome, celebrate your creations - there are no failures. Learn from every piece. Grow.

What has helped me to be able to do this is the view every artwork s an experiment. Let go of expectations. Focus on having fun, playing, experimenting. This takes the edge off the need to have everything perfect. Failure becomes part of the learning process, as you discover your artistic voice.
